  • Dolby acquires Millicast

Dolby Laboratories has announced the acquisition of Millicast, a developer platform, that provides video streaming of interactive events, from conferences to music concerts, to audiences of more than 60,000 people with delays of less than 500 milliseconds.

  • Haivision: SMPTE ST 2110 input support in Makito X4

With support for SMPTE 2110 input directly from cameras and broadcast equipment, the Makito X4 can encode uncompressed ST 2110 video as highly efficient H.264 or HEVC streams, along with the audio and ancillary metadata, with minimal latency.
