We believe appointing 3LR as our sales representative for the UK and the Republic of Ireland really is best practice and allows us to engage even more end users in existing and new markets, introducing them to the innovation based SUMOLIGHT DNA.” – Tim Zur, owner and global head of SUMOLIGHT.

3LR Lighting has announced the addition of Germany-based film and television lighting brand SUMOLIGHT to its portfolio of leading lighting brands. As a specialist lighting consultancy serving architectural, entertainment, maritime, broadcast and film markets, 3LR offers wide-ranging expertise, based on its broad experience of lighting system design and control. In doing this, it advocates and is directly supported by well-known global manufacturers of lighting and control systems, including ETC, Rosco, Unonovesette, Ventana, Studio Due – and now, SUMOLIGHT.

Designed and built at its headquarters in Berlin, SUMOLIGHT’s range of robust, high-output LED and laser-sourced luminaires are virtual production-ready – available to integrate with the very latest techniques in film and television content creation. Its broad range of products have seen use on many recent high-profile productions, including Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Midnight Sky, House of the Dragon, Matrix: Resurrections and many more. However, such is the quality and versatility of their products, that interest from other sectors is steadily on the rise.

Speaking on behalf of 3LR Lighting, Matt Lloyd says, “We’re delighted to add SUMOLIGHT to our offering at 3LR. Their products are not only beautiful solutions, but they’re well-engineered, tough, practical and up to speed with current control technologies. Their spirit of innovation, and their commitment to providing the very best lighting solutions is deeply impressive, and chimes precisely with what we aim to achieve for our customers.”

SUMOLIGHT’s powerful, modular lighting products include the SUMOMAX LED, a versatile fixture which can be fully integrated into advanced control environments, and the SUMOLASER – a laser-sourced unit with an extremely narrow beam of just 3 ̊. Aside from its luminaires, SUMOLIGHT also produces advanced optical solutions for shaping light delivery, as well as an array of accessories. Its lensing systems offer extremely uniform illumination with almost constant light intensity over the entire angle of the beam, and minimal spill. The interchangeable lenses are available for beam angles of 20°, 30° and 60°.
