Harmonic has announced that the Germany-based media production company, 44p, is upgrading its UHD playout, media processing, and distribution capabilities using Harmonic’s XOS Advanced Media Processor.
This processor features a cloud-native software foundation, comprehensive playout features, and next-generation media processing, enabling 44p to deliver UHD broadcasts more efficiently.

This software enhances broadcast delivery through AI-powered video compression and quality optimization for both HD and UHD channels. It also offers audio loudness management, simplified cue tone processing, and flexible support for IP transport architectures. Additionally, the XOS media processor provides a complete playout-to-delivery feature set, including advanced branding with HTML-5 graphics and effects.
