Accsoon has introduced the CineView 2 SDI, a new wireless video transmission system.
This system boasts a range of up to 1500 feet (450 meters) and offers enhanced stability with a latency of under 50 milliseconds. It supports both HD-SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs.
Design and Build
The CineView 2 SDI showcases a new design featuring a quad antenna setup that enhances the strength of both transmission and reception. Each of the transmitter and receiver units has a weight of 200 grams (7.05 ounces) and is constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. This design is more compact compared to its predecessors and operates silently due to the absence of a fan. A new addition is a full-color display enhancing user interface.
Technical Specifications
The transmitter (TX) is equipped with HD-SDI and HDMI inputs and includes an HDMI loop-through output, allowing it to transmit up to 1080p/60 video signals. It also features a 4K 60P HDMI input and loop-through, useful for connecting 4K devices. The receiver (RX) provides HD-SDI and HDMI outputs and includes a USB Type C UVC output for direct connections to computers, aiding in live-streaming via software such as OBS Studio.
Advanced Transmission Technology
Accsoon’s latest Dual-Band transmission technology powers the CineView 2 SDI, transmitting two Full HD video signals simultaneously on separate frequencies. This method is said to enhance the stability of the video feed significantly compared to traditional frequency-hopping wireless systems.
Compatibility and Versatility
The system is backwards compatible with Accsoon’s CineView SE, HE, and Quad models, allowing for a mix-and-match setup. A single CineView 2 SDI TX can connect to up to four receivers, including a mix of CineView 2 SDI and original CineView units. Additionally, it can simultaneously transmit video to mobile devices using the Accsoon SEE app, supporting a combination of up to four devices.
Mobile App Integration
The Accsoon SEE app provides a range of monitoring tools such as focus peaking, waveform, zebra patterns, and audio levels. It also allows for recording and streaming HD video from the CineView 2 SDI to social media and video-sharing platforms.
Power Options and Operation
The CineView 2 SDI can be powered using various sources including NP-F type batteries, with a single NP-F970 battery providing several hours of operation. Both transmitter and receiver also support DC barrel (7.4~16.8V) and USB-C PD inputs, suitable for continuous use during extended shoots.
Pricing and Availability
The CineView 2 SDI TX/RX set is priced at $649 USD and will be available from authorized Accsoon dealers in the second quarter of 2024.
