Accsoon has announced the release of the Accsoon SEE app v1.5.0 for iOS.
This version introduces a significant new feature: the ability to create and share vertical videos directly to social media platforms when using a mirrorless camera. Here is an overview of the features offered in this latest version.
Background and App Evolution
Known for its wireless video transmission and mobile monitoring solutions such as the SeeMo 4K adapter and CineView 2 transmitter, Accsoon released the SEE app in 2022 for iPhones and iPads. Since then, they have been continually improving the app. This version introduces several new features aimed at content creators and professionals. The updated app now allows videos recorded with it to be rotated vertically for easy sharing on social media or uploading to Frame.io. An introductory video demonstrates these features.
Key Features
Vertical Video Creation: Users can create vertical videos for social media using mirrorless cameras more easily.
Proper Orientation: The app ensures the correct orientation of vertical videos on-the-go using SeeMo, SeeMo 4K, and SeeMo Pro SDI adapters.
New Interface: The interface has been completely redesigned to support both vertical and horizontal orientation. Users can switch between modes with a button, and the interface adjusts accordingly to display menus and controls correctly.
Live Streaming: The vertical live streaming feature has been introduced, allowing users to ensure the correct orientation of vertical videos in real time. Users can view, record, share, and stream vertical video using SeeMo, SeeMo 4K, and SeeMo Pro SDI adapters. This feature supports streaming to platforms like YouTube and professional corporate live video.
Existing Functions in Vertical Mode: All existing functions of the SEE app can be used in vertical mode. For example, users can record lightweight H.264 video files from the camera directly to an iPhone or iPad for immediate sharing in the correct vertical orientation.
Direct Upload to Frame.io: The updated SEE app supports direct uploads to Frame.io in the correct orientation. This streamlines the workflow for professionals using Frame.io for collaborative video production and review, ensuring that videos are ready for immediate viewing and feedback.
Low Latency: The SeeMo HDMI and SeeMo Pro SDI connect to iOS devices via Lightning or USB-C cable. The hard-wired connection, combined with the optimized SEE app, results in very low latency, making these adapters excellent for critical monitoring applications.
Price and Availability
The Accsoon SEE app for iOS v1.5.0 is free to download and available now from the app store. The SeeMo 4K HDMI is priced at $179, and the SeeMo Pro SDI is $271.
