Exclusive Interview with Adrian van Rooij, Regional Sales Manager, Riedel Communications, at Cabsat 2024.
TKT1957: Hello, could you introduce yourself and tell us about Riedel Communications’ presence at Cabsat 2024?
Adrian van Rooij: Hello, I’m Adrian van Rooij, and I work for Riedel Communications. Welcome to Cabsat 2024 in Dubai. It’s an amazing exhibition, and we are really enjoying ourselves here. The atmosphere is fantastic, and it’s great to see so many innovative products and solutions.
TKT1957: What products and solutions is your company presenting here?
We are showcasing a broad variety of products, including intercom and audio solutions, distributed video routers, video over IP (SMPTE 2110), and live production tools. We also have replay solutions and integrated contribution systems, all in one box. We’re very excited to show these to our visitors.
TKT1957: What are your thoughts on the future of the broadcast, pro AV, and cinema industries? What are the main trends, in your opinion?
The main trend is absolutely the cloud. This includes sending a camera team to a location while having your production crew in another location, such as a capital city, to produce the content and then distribute it globally. Sending content to platforms like YouTube is becoming more prevalent, and this is the trend that I really see shaping the industry.
