The Solaris is a high-density, multi-channel audiocodec designed for multiple STL links, broadcasting companies, and remote contributions. It starts with 8 bi-directional stereo channels and can be upgraded to 64 channels, all within a single 1U 19″ rack unit. The audio I/O is provided via Dante (AES-67 compatible), with optional redundancy through a second Ethernet port. It supports various audio encoding algorithms, including legacy G.722 and G.711, uncompressed PCM audio, OPUS, and optional MPEG-4 AAC modes and apt-X under license. Communications can be established using SIP or RTP, and the unit can be remotely controlled via a web interface. Integration with ControlPhoenix is also available.
