Camargo Communication Group (GC2), a broadcasting company based in São Paulo, Brazil, operates several of the country’s most popular radio stations, including Radio Rock 89FM, Alpha Radio, and Nativa FM.

These stations are run in partnership with Bandeirantes and Disney Brazil. Additionally, GC2 manages two television channels: TV Guarulhos and TV Cotia.

Commitment to AEQ Technology

From the inception of the project, GC2’s technical management committed to using AEQ technology. Currently, the company’s ONAIR broadcasting system at its headquarters relies on five AEQ CAPITOL IP consoles. These consoles were chosen for their robustness, ease of operation, and high-quality audio production.

AEQ CAPITOL IP Console Features

The AEQ CAPITOL IP is an 8-channel, fixed-configuration digital audio mixing console. Its IP connectivity is implemented through a single module with 16 input and 16 output channels incorporated into its core. The console’s key features include:

  • 4 mic/line inputs
  • 12 analogue inputs
  • 4 digital stereo AES/EBU (AES3) inputs
  • 2 digital stereo USB inputs
  • 2 optional telephone lines
  • Optional digital multichannel audio links
  • 16 AoIP channels over two Ethernet connectors
  • 64 MADI channels input over optical fibre

Project Coordination

The project was overseen by the head of studies at GC2, Mr. Roberto Cidade, and the Technical Director, Mr. Sergio Borsoi. Their leadership ensured the successful integration of AEQ technology into GC2’s broadcasting infrastructure.
