Yorkshire Podcast Studios, a UK-based media specialist in web and streaming production, has recently completed the renovation of its main production facility, Studio 1, located near Leeds.
The studio, which has been operational for over 15 years, can handle up to four simultaneous jobs. The company’s business model includes renting studio space on an hourly or daily basis and offering consultancy, human resources, and technical support tailored to clients’ projects.
New Equipment Integration
As part of the renovation, Studio 1 has been upgraded with an AEQ CAPITOL IP digital audio console. This console is now a key component of the studio’s infrastructure, working in tandem with an automated video recording system and a robust IP broadcasting platform for streaming purposes.
Console Features and Selection
The AEQ CAPITOL IP console was chosen for its streamlined operation, flexible software-based configuration, and reliable audio performance. It is a digital mixing console available in 8 or 12 fader models, featuring IP connectivity supported by a module that handles 16 or 32 input and output channels. Its input options include 4 mic/line, 12 analogue, 4 digital stereo AES/EBU, 2 USB stereo, and additional optional features such as telephone lines and digital multichannel audio links. The console also supports up to 64 MADI channels via optical fibre and offers 16 or 32 AoIP channels through dual ethernet connections.
