After the success achieved at NAB 2023, AEQ presented at IBC 2023 the new AEQ TP9116 intercom user terminals that has been very well received.
The new user panel has 16 4-way lever keys, two functions per lever, in addition to individual level regulation in the key itself.
The “Talk and Listen” functions and individual volume control for each communication point, via a 4-way lever key. 16 cross-stitch keys, four pages, manage up to 64 destinations or groups. The information is presented on four RGB graphic displays. With audio quality for Broadcast. Format of a rack unit.
Designed for the high level of audio quality for broadcast of the Conexia and CrossNET matrixes
IP connectivity that handles audio in DANTE or AES67 format and low bit rate voice. Cancellation of the acoustic echo, automatic leveling of the voice power or tonality and speech habits of each operator. Acustica carefully studied to achieve the best intelligibility and naturalness of sound.
DSP functions for perfect communication:
The integrated processor features:
- Echo acoustic cancellerto avoid local feedback and possible return.
- 3-band parametric equalization and high-pass and low-pass filters, to adjust brightness and choose the best compromise between voice naturalness and intelligibility.
- Dynamics Adjustment:
- Compression, limitation and expansion, to allow a wide range of distances and angles to the microphone.
- Noise door, to eliminate or minimize ambient noise from the room, soundproofing the user panel and creating the best
- Listening environment for communication.
- Incorporates internal TEST audio signal generators (tone 1Khz @ -20dBFs, pink noise @ -20dBFs).
- It has a replay function that allows you to play the last 16 seconds of audio emitted by the speaker / headset.
The audio process is adjusted in the configuration application, being able, in addition to using the profiles supplied by default, to modify or create them to measure, and apply them in different type or particularized environments.
Audiocodec IP Stationary Double Stereo Full Duplex
AEQ also has introduced to the European Broadcasters at IBC 23 the new stationary double IP audiocodecs, VENUS 4 and VENUS 4 +, the 4th generation of Phoenix Venus audiocodecs.
Local connectivity analog, digital and AoIP Dante.
This new audiocodec for point-to-point links, or point-to-multipoint, stands out for having IP connectivity and two simultaneous bidirectional stereo transmissions with different formats and qualities. It also has SIP protocol and NB/ACIP standard of the EBU, as well as OPUS algorithms, configuration aid tools and remote control.
Carrier grade for reliable communications
Venus 4 goes on the market with two hardware versions: one with front control panel and another more basic, with status indicators of networks and communications. Both versions have analog inputs and outputs balanced by XLR connectors and dedicated connectors for AES/EBU digital I/O. Triple network port, dual RS232 data auxiliary link. Availables versions with redundant power supply, 48 volt DC supplies and local audio inputs and outputs by IP DANTE / AES 67.
Control via the Control Phoenix app
There is a friendly graphic window for configuration and another operation window that allows us to work with it as if we were facing a front control panel, choosing coding modes, connection modes and establishing or ending calls.
Both the configuration and basic operation functions are presented in an accessible and intuitive way.
Matrixless intercom system ready for remote production
XPEAK is an intercom system developed on absolutely new concepts, which covers a wide range of needs in a cost-effective way and flexible and simple configuration.
It supports up to 28 user terminals in a variety of form factors: desktop, rack, wired beltpack, wireless beltpack, and PC applications, which can be connected to each other with the greatest operational flexibility and without the need for an array.
Its wired user terminals have Bluetooth and USB connections, admitting all kinds of headsets with these connectivity and facilitating connection with smartphones and PCs.
The stationary terminals have 8 4-way lever keys, with two functions per lever, in addition to individual level regulation on the key itself. The beltpacks have 4 keys. Independently of the XPEAK system, these devices can workas user terminals in large systems with AEQ Conexia and Crossnet matrix.
The system is complemented by the XPEAK_IF interface, which provides analog, digital USB and AoIP AES67/Dante inputs and outputs Ease of configuration, adaptability and tight price
Now: Automatic remote connection available
In addition, now the connection is simple even if the equipment is in different locations, simply by giving them access to the internet. Activating for a network of XPEAK terminals the option of remote connection, each terminal automatically communicates with a service installed in the cloud, which puts it in contact with the other terminals of the network, opening communication channels with them. Automatic remote connection can also be used, integrating the terminals into a VLAN.
This makes it easier to set up the coordination of remote productions.
