Solaris Audio Gateway Multicodec
High-Density Audio Codec
The Solaris Audio Gateway Multicodec is designed to provide high-density, multi-channel audio encoding. It starts with 8 bi-directional stereo channels and can be expanded in groups of 8, up to 64 channels in a single 1U 19″ rack. This codec is suitable for multiple STL links, broadcasting companies, and remote contributions.
Key Features:
- AoIP-Only Local Audio: Audio I/O via Dante (AES-67 compatible) with optional redundancy through a second Ethernet port.
- Audio Encoding Algorithms: Supports legacy G.722 and G.711, uncompressed PCM audio (16 bit), OPUS, and optional MPEG-4 AAC and apt-X under license. Uses SIP or RTP for communication.
- Remote Control: Web interface for complete configuration and diagnostics, including Syslog, SNMP, CPU load, and memory usage. Integrates with ControlPhoenix for managing Phoenix family audiocodecs.
- Call Management: Manual calls, internally stored contact list, and last calls list for each channel.
