In 2018, Egypt welcomed its first International Branch Campus (IBC), the Universities of Canada in Egypt, prominently located in the new administrative capital.

This pioneering campus is hosting two esteemed Canadian institutions: the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) and Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly known as Ryerson University.

Enhancing the campus’s educational offerings, two new radio studios have been established, equipped with top-notch AEQ technology. These studios feature the AEQ Forum Split console, boasting 16 faders for versatile audio control, alongside the AEQ StudioBox for signaling, and the AEQ HB02 micro headphone, which includes gain control for precise audio management.

The AEQ Forum IP Split, a central piece of equipment in these studios, is specifically designed for ONAIR broadcasting. It integrates essential features for broadcasting environments such as automatic monitor and cough cut-offs, fader start, signaling control, and various other functionalities for managing external communications and equipment automation. This mixer is known for its versatility, fitting various settings like self-control studios, television production, and sound production, due to its modular design and compact size.

The AEQ Forum IP console is celebrated for its blend of simplicity and advanced control capabilities, catering to both fundamental and complex operational needs in broadcasting. The Forum IP Split model is powered by the FR CORE modular engine, occupying three rack units and accommodating up to six quadruple fader modules, along with a unit for control and monitoring. This modernization at the Universities of Canada in Egypt marks a significant step in providing cutting-edge educational facilities and professional development opportunities for students.
