AEQ has supplied its XPEAK intercom system and the new Xplorer Max wireless beltpack to Chilean company Río Negro Televisión, upgrading the communications system of one of its mobile units with the support of Ultracanal, AEQ’s official integrator in Chile.
Río Negro Televisión, founded in 2001, is a content production company with a strong journalistic and technological focus. The company evolved from a fixed studio operation to an agile production company with mobile units covering different scenarios. The recent intercom system renovation with AEQ technology improves the quality and efficiency of studio and on-location productions.
XPEAK System Installation
The installation includes AEQ’s XPEAK system, a compact and flexible solution enabling professional communication without a central matrix. The system features intercom panels, wireless terminals, XPEAK accessories, antennas, interfaces, and connection and power supply elements for optimal performance.
Xplorer Max Wireless Beltpack
The Xplorer MAX wireless beltpack offers autonomy, high-quality audio, and extended coverage through IP connectivity. It allows total freedom of movement for technical and production staff, operating in coverage areas up to 700m in a straight line with up to 20 beltpacks on a single antenna. The working area can be expanded by interconnecting up to four antennas on the same network.

The station needed a modern, easy-to-implement system offering both wired and wireless solutions. XPEAK and Xplorer MAX optimized daily operations, improved flexibility for outdoor work, and facilitated interconnection between cameras and control units.

The installation included a sales visit by AEQ staff, Luis Miguel Sánchez-Migallón and Bernardo Saiz, to provide support and personalized follow-up. AEQ thanks Ultracanal, led by Hamlet Villarroel, for its collaboration as the local integrator.
