Sony has released a new firmware update for its Airpeak S1 drone, now making it compatible with the Alpha 9 III camera.
This update enables users to capture aerial photos and videos, while also simplifying their workflow with real-time geotagging.
Benefits and Improvements
- Enhanced Usability During Flights with RTK: The update allows users to add geotags to images in real-time. These geotagged images are automatically saved to the SD card in the RTK kit Interface unit (RTK-INU1).
- Geotag Coordinate Offset: It supports the function to offset a geotag coordinate on the optical axis.
- Organized Geotagged Images: Geotagged images are saved into individual folders, each corresponding to a specific flight. A mission name is now included in the folder name.
- Alpha 9 III Camera Support: The firmware update supports the ILCE-9M3 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera equipped with a full-frame image sensor and global shutter. It can be used in combination with the gimbal (GBL-T3).
- Improved Aircraft Stability: The update enhances the stability of the aircraft.
