Amagi, a provider of cloud-based SaaS technology for broadcast and connected TV (CTV), has formed a partnership with Caracol Television, a major broadcaster, content producer, and distributor in Colombia.
The partnership focuses on launching and expanding Caracol Television’s FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) channel across Latin America.
Implementation of Amagi’s Cloud-Based Solutions
Caracol Television will utilize Amagi’s cloud-based solutions, including automated playout, content scheduling, analytics, and advertising tools. These tools will enable Caracol to manage, deliver, and monetize its FAST channel across various platforms, allowing for efficient content delivery and revenue generation.
Caracol Television’s Strategy for Audience Growth
Felipe Rivas, International Business Development Director at Caracol Television, outlined the company’s plan to expand its audience reach and content distribution across different regions. The launch of their first FAST channel is a central element of this strategy. Rivas highlighted the importance of technology in supporting this initiative.

Introduction of Caracol Mix
Caracol Television announced the creation of its first international FAST channel, Caracol Mix. This channel will offer a selection of the network’s programming, making Caracol’s content available for free to viewers across the region.
