Amagi: Partnership with Lionsgate for Content Delivery

Amagi, a leader in cloud-based SaaS technology for broadcast and Connected TV (CTV), has been selected by Lionsgate for FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) playout and global deliveries after extensive vendor testing.

This partnership aims to utilize Amagi’s advanced cloud technology to enhance Lionsgate’s global content delivery capabilities and facilitate the rapid launch of new channels.

Lionsgate, known for its extensive library of popular titles such as “John Wick,” “The Hunger Games,” “Mad Men,” “Weeds,” and “Nashville,” will utilize Amagi’s technology to create and manage a variety of multi-program and single IP channels.

Lionsgate employs several Amagi platforms including:

  • CLOUDPORT: A cloud-based automation and playout platform.
  • PLANNER: A cloud-based content planning and TV channel program scheduling platform.
  • THUNDERSTORM: An SSAI & Analytics platform.
  • ADS PLUS: A real-time CTV advertising marketplace outside the U.S.

This suite of solutions enables Lionsgate to efficiently manage, deliver, and monetize linear and VOD content for two dozen channels globally.
