Interview with Andrew Starks, Director of Product Management at Macnica America’s Inc. at ISE 2024.

Hi, I’m Andrew Starks, with AIMS, the Alliance for IP Media Solutions. We are a trade association dedicated to the promotion and development of open standards for AV over IP in the broadcast and pro-AV industries.

TKT1957: What new products is your company showcasing at ISE 2024?

Andrew: Today, at ISE, we’re showcasing an incredible demonstration of five different implementations of IPMX, all working together in concert in both a live production and presentation workflow. This really highlights the flexibility and power of IPMX, not only as an open standard. We’re excited to demonstrate things like support for HDR (High Dynamic Range), support for HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) senders, and receivers that are implemented in both hardware and software. IPMX is incredibly affordable to implement, and as I say, the most important part about it is that it’s a completely open standard. If you want to learn more about IPMX and the manufacturers that are involved, or if you want to get involved with IPMX, I highly encourage you to visit our website at aimsalliance.org.
