ARRI Unveils New 360 EVO Stabilized Remote Head for Enhanced Cinematic Flexibility

ARRI has unveiled its latest innovation, the 360 EVO, a stabilized remote head that elevates the capabilities of its predecessor, the SRH-360.

This new model boasts 360-degree rotation on both the roll and pan axes, a more durable construction, and seamless integration with remote systems. The 360 EVO also introduces a new graphical user interface (GUI) and shares multiple accessories with the TRINITY 2, fostering a comprehensive lineup of both hard and soft-mounted stabilizer options.

Revolutionizing Cinematography with Advanced Technology
Since the introduction of TRINITY 2, filmmakers have been exploiting its 360-degree roll-axis rotation to create stunning visuals. The ARRI 360 EVO adopts this groundbreaking technology, further enhancing its application in various film projects such as dramas, commercials, and music videos. By attaching the head to equipment like cranes or cable cams, operators can now capture even more dynamic roll-axis shots, especially in live broadcast scenarios.

User-Friendly Interface and Shared Accessories
Operating on the same software platform as TRINITY 2, the 360 EVO features a user-friendly GUI accessible through its touchscreen remote control panel. It shares essential components like cables, brackets, and SAM plates with TRINITY 2, allowing for the mounting of different cameras. Both systems are compatible with ARRI’s control tools, including the Digital Remote Wheels DRW-1 and the new Digital Encoder Head DEH-2. This compatibility means that TRINITY 2 users can easily integrate the 360 EVO into their workflow without additional investments in accessories or learning new operational methods.

Enhanced Connectivity and Future Plans
The 360 EVO is designed with LBUS connectivity, supporting efficient digital and metadata workflows. The software and GUI are tailored for future integration with the Unreal Engine, promoting advancements in virtual production. Additionally, ARRI plans to enable remote control of the 360 EVO over the internet through an authorized repeater cloud service, further expanding its flexibility and control options.

Unmatched Price-Performance Ratio
With its ability to support up to 30 kg payloads, compact design, diverse connectivity options, high-capacity 12/24 V camera power supply, and exceptional stabilization at long focal lengths, the 360 EVO stands out in its market segment. Offering an unrivaled price-performance ratio, this product is positioned as an economical choice for both cinema and broadcast industries.
