ARRI has introduced new components that enhance the compatibility of their ALEXA Mini LF and ALEXA Mini cameras with the ALEXA 35’s accessory setups.
These components include the Balance Utility Dovetail BUD-3 (K2.0048463), the Rear Accessory Bracket RAB-3 (K2.0049215), and the Mini Adapter Plate MAP-4 (K2.0047697).
The BUD-3 is a key update, allowing the ALEXA Mini LF to work with the robust accessory configurations originally designed for the ALEXA 35. This dovetail is designed to accommodate ALEXA Mini side brackets and both the RAB-1 and RAB-3 rear accessory brackets.
The RAB-3, specifically tailored for the ALEXA Mini LF, complements the new utility base BUD-3. It’s worth noting that an existing RAB-1 can be modified to serve as an RAB-3 by detaching its lower section, allowing it to directly connect to the RAB-1.
Lastly, the MAP-4, a lightweight adapter plate for the ALEXA Mini LF, offers a minimalistic approach to attaching a variety of lightweight accessories compatible with the ALEXA 35. This includes accessories like the Lightweight Camera Handle LCH-1, and it weighs significantly less than traditional top plates.
