Asharq TV, a Saudi Arabic-language news channel founded in 2020 and part of SRMG, operates from its headquarters in Riyadh with additional hubs in Dubai, Washington, Cairo, and Abu Dhabi, along with multiple regional offices.
The network has begun building a new mobile broadcast unit and selected AEQ to equip it with AoIP-based technology. The unit uses Dante signal distribution and integrates the AEQ XPEAK intercom system and AEQ OLYMPIA 3 commentator units.
XPEAK Intercom System
XPEAK uses a virtual networking system with an automatic global interconnection wizard. It removes the need for manual configuration, static IP addresses, port forwarding, or dynamic DNS.
Devices connect through local networks and can operate within the same facility or remotely via the Internet.
The system only requires outgoing Internet access to link with a cloud server that manages bidirectional audio routing.
System Components
The XPEAK family includes rack-mount and desktop panels, wired and wireless beltpacks, PC software, and an interface unit for integration with third-party equipment.
OLYMPIA 3 Commentator Positions
OLYMPIA 3 is AEQ’s latest commentator platform. It works as a standalone device or as part of a Dante/AES67 AoIP network.
It fits large multi-venue events as well as smaller setups and integrates with AEQ intercom systems or AoIP matrices.
