Astera has expanded its lighting solutions range by introducing the ProjectionLens, an accessory designed to enhance the functionality of its PlutoFresnel light.
This addition enables the battery-operated, LED PlutoFresnel to quickly transform into a powerful Profile Spotlight. The PlutoFresnel, known for its wireless operation and built-in battery, becomes even more versatile with the ProjectionLens, allowing users to adjust the light into a Profile Spotlight with a beam range of 16° to 36° in under a minute.
Enhanced Lighting Capabilities
The ProjectionLens equips the PlutoFresnel with increased functionality, including manual zoom control through the lens barrel or two Focus Wheels, and the ability to project custom logos using an E-size Gobo holder. This new feature maintains Astera’s commitment to precision and durability, offering refined control over lighting, crystal-clear optics, and a four-leaf shutter system for beam trimming.
PlutoFresnel’s Versatility and Efficiency
The base PlutoFresnel unit is celebrated for replicating the desirable characteristics of traditional Fresnel lights using LED technology. It offers a beam angle of 15° to 60°, with an 80W power consumption that produces an output comparable to a 300W tungsten light. This innovation ensures a high-output, energy-efficient, and precise color control lighting solution that is ideal for various applications in film, TV, and event settings.
Lightweight Design and Advanced Technology
Weighing only 4.6 kg, the PlutoFresnel boasts a compact design that includes a built-in battery and multiple mounting options. It features the Titan LED engine, ensuring high color fidelity and consistency across a color temperature range of 1,750 to 20,000 Kelvin, with Full Spectrum RGB+Mint+Amber colors. The system offers comprehensive control through Wireless DMX, CRMX, or BluetoothBridge, connecting to the Astera App, and is now further enhanced with the WhiteRemote and FXRemote for streamlined operation.
Astera’s Commitment to Versatility and Efficiency
Astera aims to provide lighting solutions that offer flexibility, reduced energy consumption, and minimized need for additional equipment and wiring. The introduction of the ProjectionLens reaffirms the company’s dedication to delivering compact, efficient, and versatile lighting tools that cater to the creative needs of lighting engineers and event technicians.
Comments from Astera’s Sales and Marketing Director
Sebastian Bückle, Sales and Marketing Director at Astera, highlighted the dual functionality of the new ProjectionLens combined with the PlutoFresnel, offering both Fresnel and Projection lighting capabilities in a single, efficient package. He emphasized the company’s pride in delivering a product that supports a wide range of lighting applications, from key lighting to special effects, in a compact and energy-efficient system.
