Ateliere Creative Technologies, a GenAI media software solutions company, has introduced Ateliere Live, a software and cloud-native live production and editing platform.

This new platform is designed as a true software and cloud-native solution for live production and editing. Ateliere Live aims to transform live broadcasting and cloud TV by offering a cost-efficient and environmentally friendly user-centric experience. It integrates production editing, mixing, graphics, and effects on a single software platform, enabling advanced proxy editing and true remote production.

Simplified and Cost-Effective Production

The platform’s design facilitates the creation of multiple production versions, allowing customers to distribute content on various viewing platforms such as Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube at a significantly lower cost compared to other live production solutions.

Operational and Environmental Efficiencies

Dan Goman, CEO of Ateliere, emphasizes that Ateliere Live addresses the challenges of live production by enhancing operational and environmental efficiencies. This solution provides a more flexible and efficient production process, removing complexities and improving business outcomes.

Investment and Technology Integration

Following acquisitions in July 2024, Ateliere continues to enhance its technology, which is already utilized by major broadcasters and producers like Sveriges Television (SVT) and Permafrost. The innovative GPU processing and remote proxy capabilities have enabled customers to reduce production costs by up to 70% per hour and cut carbon footprints by up to 30% compared to traditional broadcast technologies.

Sustainability Benefits

Ateliere Live’s unique production pipeline keeps video in the GPU until distribution, reducing unnecessary processing and overall power requirements. This results in a lower environmental footprint compared to traditional solutions. The platform also supports true remote production (REMI) workflows with proxy contribution feeds and synchronized proxy-master feed timing, minimizing travel and shipping needs.

Economic Improvements in Live TV Production

Ateliere Live allows for independent tuning of latency, quality, and cost based on revenue potential and audience value. By lowering the cost per hour of live production, the platform enables the creation of more live content across various topics and audiences.

API-First Architecture for Customization

The API-first architecture of Ateliere Live supports integration and customization for different production workflows and organizational needs. All aspects of live production, including editing, events, camera selections, and graphics overlays, are accessible via a public API, facilitating interaction with third-party applications.

Advanced Capabilities and Future Enhancements

As generative AI continues to advance GPU capabilities, Ateliere Live will also be enhanced. The platform currently supports up to 70 cameras in a single GPU, with no limitations on the number of cameras per live production.

Demonstration at IBC 2024

Ateliere Live and other Ateliere solutions will be showcased at IBC 2024, allowing attendees to see the platform in action.
