Ateme to Showcase Innovation at ACM Mile High Video 2024 in Denver

Ateme, recognized worldwide for its cutting-edge video compression, delivery, and streaming technologies, is set to make a significant impact at the ACM Mile High Video 2024.

The event, scheduled to run from February 11th to 14th at the Marriott DTC in Denver, will see Ateme engaging in a comprehensive lineup of activities including four insightful presentations, a dynamic panel discussion, and an exciting demonstration of stereoscopic 3D video on the Apple Vision Pro.

Expert-Led Presentations

Ateme’s involvement kicks off on February 12th at 9 am with a presentation titled “End-to-end VVC encoding for energy-aware HDR rendering.” This session will feature insights from Olivier Le Meur, alongside experts Franck Aumont (InterDigital), Pierre-Loup Cabarat (IETR, INSA Rennes), Juan-Carlos Vargas-Rubio (Enensys), Daniel Menard (IETR, INSA Rennes), Thomas Guionnet (Ateme), and Oussama Hammami (IETR, INSA Rennes).

Continuing at 3:30 pm the same day, the presentation “AV1-Compatible Film Grain Modeling for HEVC Decoders” will be delivered by Dan Grois, Alex Giladi (Comcast), Thomas Guionnet, Thomas Burnichon, Nikolay Tverdokhleb, and Mickael Raulet (Ateme).

Engaging Panel Discussion

The following day, February 13th, from 1:45 pm to 3 pm, Ateme will participate in a panel titled “Recent Advances in AI-Based Technologies for Video Coding and Streaming.” The discussion, organized and moderated by Dan Grois (CEO at AnyAI.ai), will feature panelists Elena Alshina (Huawei), Alexandria Burkleaux (Amazon AWS), Shan Liu (Tencent), Mickael Raulet (Ateme), and Tamar Shoham (Beamr).

Further Presentations on Video Innovation

The afternoon continues with two more presentations from Ateme. At 3:15 pm, “MV-HEVC: How to optimize compression of immersive 3D content” will be presented by Thomas Guionnet, Thomas Burnichon, and Mickaël Raulet. This will be followed at 3:45 pm by “AI-based monocular depth-map estimation applied to a video encoding pipeline,” featuring Thomas Guionnet, Marc Rivière, and Mickael Raulet.

Demonstrating Future-Ready Technologies

In addition to these engagements, Ateme will demonstrate its prowess in stereoscopic 3D video technology through an exhibit on the Apple Vision Pro, showcasing their commitment to enhancing video delivery and engagement through innovation.
