SES has announced the integration of Ateme’s advanced technology to enhance and secure its global broadcasting distribution network for sports and events content.
This development builds on the long-standing relationship between the two companies.
Utilization of TITAN Encoders and High-Definition Distribution
SES will implement Ateme’s TITAN encoders, multiplexers, and decoders to distribute Ultra-High and High-Definition content via its ground and satellite infrastructure. Ateme is also providing premium frame rate conversion with full motion compensation and supporting High Dynamic Range (HDR) in Ultra-High Definition (UHD) for improved visual quality.
Advanced Encryption and HDR Conversion
Ateme’s state-of-the-art solutions include the use of the BISS-CA encryption standard and receivers, integrating HDR conversion with HDR Look-Up-Table (LUT) conversion. This integration facilitates the adoption of HDR technology, ensuring the highest quality video content with optimal picture clarity, smooth motion, and enhanced security.
Commitment to Enhanced Content Distribution
Michele Gosetti, Head of Media Sales for France, Spain, Italy, and Sports & Events at SES, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded collaboration with Ateme. He highlighted the partnership’s role in enhancing SES’s delivery workflow for major sporting events, emphasizing the company’s commitment to providing broadcasters with advanced, secure, and reliable content distribution solutions.
Julien Mandel, Sr Solution Marketing Director at Ateme, echoed this sentiment, noting the partnership’s importance in delivering premium sports content to global audiences. He emphasized Ateme’s dedication to innovating with the BISS-CA encryption standard and proposing evolutions for future sporting events to ensure enhanced security and performance in content distribution.
