During the summit, Ateme will present two pivotal papers, providing industry leaders with a unique opportunity to delve into emerging trends and innovations vital for informed decision-making. The papers, either written or co-written by Ateme, are titled “Video Codecs and Encoding: Film Grain Modeling for HEVC Decoders, Context-Aware Encoding, Hybrid Codecs.”

When: The session, featuring Dan Grois’s presentation, will commence at 10 am (PST) on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, and extend until 11.30 am. It will include three additional presentations, one of which will be by Thomas Guionnet.

Dan Grois, Principal Researcher at Comcast, will present a paper co-authored with Thomas Guionnet, Fellow Research Engineer at Ateme, titled “Making film grain great again: AV1-compatible film grain modeling for existing HEVC decoders.”
Thomas Guionnet will present “The future of video compression ‒ Moving beyond hybrid codecs with machine learning.”
