Atomos, the Melbourne-based Australian company known for its touchscreen monitors and recorders for filmmakers, has launched a new firmware update, AtomOS 11.06.00.
This update introduces several key features including SRT streaming, integration with MediaSilo for Camera-to-Cloud functionality, and support for FUJIFILM’s F-LOG2.
SRT Streaming Capabilities
The AtomOS 11.06.00 update incorporates SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), an open-source protocol designed to improve video streaming performance over variable networks. The update allows devices to operate in either ‘Caller’ or ‘Listener’ mode via Atomos Cloud Studio. It supports video resolutions of 1280×720 and 1920×1080, with frame rates including 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, and 60 fps, all in progressive format.
Camera-to-Cloud with MediaSilo
Following the announcement at NAB 2024, Atomos has enhanced its Cloud Studio to support MediaSilo as a new Camera-to-Cloud destination. Users can manage their connections and designate destinations through a web interface provided within the Camera-to-Cloud plan of Atomos Cloud Studio.
FUJIFILM F-LOG2 Support
The firmware update extends support to FUJIFILM’s F-LOG2, benefitting users by enabling more accurate color processing during both shooting and monitoring. The update allows for the use of F-Log2 in combination with REC709/BT2020 gamma/gamut settings for YCC video, as well as for the output and color settings in ProRes RAW and Proxy Recordings.
