Atomos Releases AtomOS 11: Innovative Playback, Recording, and Exposure Enhancements

AtomOS 11 introduces PlaybackAssist, a feature that significantly enhances user experience by allowing the creation of custom-ordered playlists. This tool simplifies the review of dailies and facilitates the playback on various displays, including digital signage and large screens.

PlaybackAssist also includes a Scheduled Play option, enabling users to set specific times for file playback, either based on a countdown timer or a fixed time of day.

Innovative RecordAssist Functionality
RecordAssist, a new addition in AtomOS 11, mirrors the functionality of PlaybackAssist but for recording. It allows users to schedule recordings to start at a predetermined time or after a set timer duration. This feature extends to the Timelapse function as well.

New Colorized Exposure Modes Unveiled
AtomOS 11 introduces two new exposure modes: Arri False Color and the EL Zone System, developed by Hollywood cinematographer Ed Lachman, ASC. These tools are designed to enhance visual accuracy in Log or RAW Input modes. They are not available for Rec.709 or non-LOG profiles on the Shogun Connect.

4Kp60 Clips in Camera to Cloud Workflows
The latest update includes a “Single Recording” mode in Atomos Cloud Studio for Shogun users. This feature allows the upload of high-quality 4K clips at up to 60fps to Frame.io or Sony Ci Media cloud. This functionality is ideal for quick-turnaround projects and high-quality final edits. An active CLASSIC or PREMIUM subscription to Atomos Cloud Studio is required to use this feature.

RemoteView: Advanced Wireless Sharing
Atomos 11 enhances connectivity with RemoteView, enabling screen sharing between Atomos devices, iPads, Macs, and Apple TVs. It integrates AtomOS 10 and 11 along with Atomos Cloud Studio for seamless sharing, locally or globally. Shogun can also receive the RemoteView feed and loop it out via HDMI or SDI. AtomOS 10 devices support limited frame rate sessions, while OS 11 devices offer expanded frame rate options.

24p Recording from Sony FX3 and FX30 Cameras
AtomOS 11 now supports true 24.00p recording from Sony FX3 and FX30 cameras, expanding beyond the previously available frame rates.
