Atomos, a key player in the media and entertainment technology sector, has appointed Eamon Drew as its new Chief Business Development Officer.
Drew, bringing over 25 years of experience, will lead the company’s global sales and business development initiatives. Based in Melbourne, Australia, he will collaborate with global teams to enhance the company’s network of distributors, resellers, and system integrators.
Background and Experience
Drew returns to Atomos after a nine-year hiatus during which he co-founded several successful companies, including Blonde Robot, Australia’s largest distributor of professional video products. He also served as a leader at BirdDog Limited, a pioneer in PTZ cameras and NDI technology. Under his leadership, BirdDog achieved its highest revenue year and successfully launched an IPO.

Transition and Future Prospects
The outgoing Chief Strategy Officer, Stephan Kexel, will assist Drew over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition. Atomos CEO and Co-Founder, Jeromy Young, expressed his enthusiasm for Drew’s return, citing the need to fill the experience gap left by Kexel’s departure. Young emphasized Drew’s proven track record and strategic acumen as crucial for exploring new markets, particularly following the company’s recent product announcements at NAB 2024.
