Audio-Technica Introduces ATND1061LK Beamforming Microphone

Audio-Technica has unveiled an upgraded version of its ATND1061 Beamforming Microphone, named the ATND1061LK. This new model incorporates Audio-Technica’s exclusive Audio-Technica Link, an IP-based technology.

This innovation enables the transmission of uncompressed digital audio across multiple channels and allows for control of information with minimal delay.

Enhanced Functionality for Various Settings
The ATND1061LK is specifically designed for use in environments such as conference rooms, boardrooms, and lecture theatres. It features a sophisticated tracking system that identifies and follows the position of speakers, even as they move during meetings or presentations. Additionally, the device is equipped with a noise detection function that adjusts the microphone’s focus away from unwanted sounds.

Flexible Installation Options
Users can install the ATND1061LK in several ways: flush-mounted or surface-mounted in both drop and hard ceilings, or in open spaces using a standard VESA mount. The microphone is compliant with UL 2043 standards for plenum space installations.

Efficient Connectivity and Cable Management
The device includes two connections for integration into an Audio-Technica Link daisy chain setup. It also offers a network connection for room setting configuration. A key advantage of the Audio-Technica Link is its ability to reduce the number of audio cables needed, as it utilizes general-purpose LAN cables instead of multiple analog audio cables for multi-channel transmission.

Customizable and User-Friendly Features
Like its predecessor, the ATND1061LK offers flexible operation and ease of use. It allows for the configuration of 16 user-defined Coverage Zones, ensuring accurate voice pickup. The microphone also supports up to 16 user-defined priority zones, with the capability to prioritize voices in these zones over others. Audio-Technica’s voice activity detection technology helps in distinguishing voices from background noises such as paper rustling.

Comprehensive Software and Onboard DSP
Room configuration and other settings are managed through the Digital Microphone Manager software. The ATND1061LK includes robust onboard digital signal processing capabilities like automix, acoustic echo cancellation, noise reduction, automatic gain control, and a 4-band EQ, making it suitable for use even without external DSP integrations.
