Harbor Picture Company has extended its partnership with Avid by becoming the first facility in the UK to install Avid’s advanced shared storage engines – Avid NEXIS | F2 SSD – for audio production.
The new installation features a two-media-pack Avid NEXIS | F2 SSD system, providing Harbor with 76TB of storage. This system can playback up to 10,000 audio tracks simultaneously via a 100GbE high-speed network connection. Integrating the NEXIS system helps Harbor meet production requirements across its five studios in London, including a theatrical Atmos suite, two Atmos Home Entertainment suites, and two ADR rooms.
