This adapter supports both 24V and 48V configurations, offering versatility for various production needs. The Coco-Double converts two 24V B-Mount batteries into a 48V power source or, when operating at 24V, doubles the runtime compared to a single B-Mount battery.
Compatibility with a Range of Lights
The Coco-Double can be directly mounted onto lights using either a Super Clamp Pin Mount, which is compatible with all lights, or a Rail Mount, specifically designed for Arri Skypanels. It measures 248 x 110 x 154mm and can accommodate two B-Mount connectors, compatible with all standard 24V B-Mount batteries. However, bebob recommends using the B480cine or B290cine batteries for optimal performance with lights.
With a continuous power output of up to 700W, the Coco-Double can power various advanced lights. For instance, two B480cine batteries can power a 650-watt light for approximately 1.5 hours at full capacity, while two B290cine batteries provide around 55 minutes of operation. The runtime for a 500-watt light is 1 hour and 50 minutes with two B480cine batteries or 1 hour with two B290cine batteries. Additionally, Arri Skypanel S60-C/S-120C can run for about 2 hours and 20 minutes on two B480cine batteries.
Uninterrupted Power for Cameras
The Coco-Double is designed for both 48V and 24V equipment, making it suitable for long filming sessions. When paired with B-Mount power buffers such as the B90cineML or B155cineML hot swap adapters, it provides an uninterrupted power supply for cameras.
For powering a 100-watt camera, two B480cine batteries offer up to 9.5 hours of filming, while two B155cine batteries deliver approximately 3 hours of continuous operation. The Coco-Double connects to the camera via adapter cables: 24V XLR3 16A for 24V operation or 48V XLR10 for 48V. The output voltage can be adjusted directly on the adapter using a control knob, and a carrying handle is included for ease of use when deployed as a block battery.
