BeIN Sports has successfully renewed its exclusive broadcasting rights for the US Open Tennis Championships, ensuring its position as the sole broadcaster of the tournament in the MENA region until 2027.
This move is a testament to BeIN’s dedication to tennis, as it remains the only platform in the region to broadcast all four Grand Slam events.
For over a decade, BeIN has held the exclusive rights to the US Open, playing a significant role in amplifying tennis’s popularity within the Middle East and North Africa. The renewed agreement, which will run from 2023 to 2027, promises both Arabic and English coverage, catering to the region’s diverse audience and reflecting the growing enthusiasm for tennis.
Mohammad Al-Subaie, CEO of beIN MENA, commented on the extended partnership, emphasizing the strong bond between BeIN and the US Open. He noted the rising interest in tennis in the region and expressed eagerness for the upcoming tournaments.
Kirsten Corio, Chief Commercial Officer of USTA, also celebrated the continued collaboration, highlighting the shared goal of delivering top-notch tennis to fans in the Middle East and North Africa.
The upcoming US Open, scheduled from August 28 to September 10, promises to be a significant event for the region. All eyes will be on Tunisian player Ons Jabeur, as she seeks to replicate her Wimbledon success. The men’s competition will spotlight World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and three-time winner Novak Djokovic.
BeIN’s extensive coverage will begin each match day from 18:00 MECCA time and will run into the early morning hours. Matches will be broadcasted on various BeIN Sports channels, with Arabic commentary on beIN Sports 5 and 6, and English commentary on beIN Sports 7. The most notable matches will also air in English on beIN Sports 2.
