Interview with Bill Hensley, Head Of Global Marketing, RTI Control, at ISE 2024.
Hi, welcome to RTI at ISE 2024. I’m Bill Hensley, the Marketing Director. I’m here to give you a glimpse into the program that we’re showcasing to everyone at the show.
TKT1957: What new products is your company showcasing at ISE 2024?
Bill: We’re excited to introduce RTI Intelligent Meetings. Our solution transforms every meeting into an in-person experience. The Intelligent Meetings ecosystem is centered around the Intelligent 4K Video. Additionally, we offer the Media Xchange Device, which facilitates getting your content onto the screen, and of course, expansion microphones. However, the cornerstone of our ecosystem is its native integration into the RTI control system, offering unparalleled room and office control for conferencing and collaboration.
In particular, we’ve integrated the system into our KX4, our touch panel with a built-in processor. Right now, we can see that we’ve customized this solution 100%. And from the panel, I can tell that the room is available. This is perfect since this is our meeting. Let’s go in and get started.
Now, one of the challenges people face with hybrid meetings is figuring out “how to get the meeting up and running.” The online participants might not be fully in sync with what’s happening in the room, and those in the room might struggle just to start the meeting. We’ve aimed to simplify this process. Upon entering the room, you’re greeted by a fully customizable welcome screen. Currently, it displays the RTI logo, but naturally, this could be your client’s logo. It guides you on how to start the meeting, whether through a Windows PC, AirPlay, Miracast, or the RTI Media Xchange Transmitter.
So, we’re going to start the meeting, and because we’re fully integrated, you’ll notice on the wall over here that it indicates “meeting in progress,” and the green light has turned to red. Let’s get going.
TKT1957: Are there any developments in integrating AI into your solutions?
Bill: Absolutely. We’ve got the Opposite PC activated, which showcases our AI-driven capabilities, such as presenter tracking, speaker tracking, and an auto-pan function. These features make remote participants feel as though they’re part of the room. The linear array microphones in the video bar ensure exceptional sound quality, so everyone can hear what’s happening, reinforcing the in-person meeting experience for all involved. For larger meeting spaces, you can enhance the system with additional expansion microphones, allowing up to five to be added, accommodating as large a conference as you can envision.
I’ve brought my laptop in to share content via the UC-MXT Media Xchange Transmitter. With a simple click, my presentation is up on the screen. And if I receive an email during the presentation or there are a few slides I want to skip, I can hit the pause button to ensure privacy. To resume, I just hit the button again, seamlessly continuing the meeting for everyone, regardless of their location. This is RTI Intelligent Meetings at its best.
Now, let’s take a look at some other innovations. Here at the show, we’re unveiling our new line of touch panels and remotes. The Intelligent Surfaces touch panel, available in both a 10-inch and a 5-inch version, features password touch, a very narrow bezel, and a design that allows for an almost flush wall mount, creating a beautiful interface. The 5-inch version is particularly suitable as a convenient control panel at the room’s entrance. Its customizable interface can adapt to any configuration, horizontal or vertical, starting from our Coral template for auto-programming, ensuring the fastest solution delivery. Or, it can be made 100% customized to meet your client’s specific needs.
Lastly, let’s talk about our audio solutions. We’ve been in the audio game for a long time. Let’s head to the front of the booth and take a closer look.
With our new series of Audio Distribution DSP Matrix Amplifiers, we’re significantly enhancing our audio offerings. The lineup includes three models: the 846 100, which is a four-source, six-zone amplifier delivering 100 watts per channel with all channels driven. Then we have the ADA 10100, an eight-source, ten-zone DSP Matrix amplifier. And finally, the 1616, a full DSP Matrix amplifier. For added amplification, you would use our CP1-16i Cool Power amplifier.
In each of these amplifiers, we’ve incorporated two line-out channels, which is ideal for integrating a 70 Volt or 100V system, or for connecting subwoofers. For instance, with a couple of the 8x10s, you’d have 16 zones of audio, providing the opportunity to add up to eight different subwoofers in your setup, offering tremendous flexibility. We’ve also developed a configuration UI that simplifies setup, whether you’re integrating these amplifiers into an RTI system, using them standalone, or with another system. It guides you through everything you need to know to achieve the perfect sound in every room. This is just a glimpse of what we’re bringing to RTI. Everything we do is powered by our Integration Designer programming platform.
Let’s take a closer look. Here we demonstrate to one of our integrators how to use Integration Design. This programming platform is versatile, supporting both commercial and residential projects. Although it might be challenging to showcase software in this setting, the platform allows for auto-programming of many pages, facilitating rapid installation. It also supports custom programming for that unique personalization and customization each client needs, with system manager tracking to streamline programming without the need for writing line code, speeding up the entire process.
TKT1957: Thank you for the interview!
