Bitmovin’s AI Hub for Video Automation

Bitmovin's AI Hub for Video Automation

Bitmovin, a provider of video streaming technology, has released the Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub.

This platform integrates Bitmovin’s products to offer AI-driven services aimed at automating workflows and improving viewer experiences. The hub includes the Bitmovin Observability MCP server and three new agentic solutions that use AI to analyze, act on, and automate video processes.

Automated Social Media Clipping

The Vertical Short Form Clipping tool enables video providers to automatically create short-form clips for social media platforms using natural-language prompts. The system identifies key moments, reformats the video for vertical displays, and uses subject-aware cropping to keep the main action in the frame. The clips are processed by Bitmovin’s VOD Encoder, which is optimized for short-form content, facilitating quick distribution on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Voice-Controlled Video Navigation

The Voice Operated Seeking feature provides viewers with the ability to navigate video content using voice commands. Instead of using a timeline, users can say specific phrases, such as “replay the car chase scene” or “jump to the interview,” to find specific moments in the video. This function is designed to make content interaction more intuitive.

Personalized Content Summaries

The Summarization Companion tool allows streaming services to provide personalized summaries and recaps on demand. Viewers can ask questions like “what did I miss?” or “who is this character?” to receive information without interrupting the stream. This, along with Voice Operated Seeking, aims to increase viewer engagement by adding more value to each viewing session.

Developer Access and Future Plans

Developers can access the features used in these solutions through Bitmovin’s MCP servers. This allows video services to adapt the technology and create new, customized workflows. Bitmovin plans to add more solutions and features to the Agentic AI Hub in the coming months.
