Blackmagic Design Desktop Video 14.1: Keying Support and Performance Enhancements

The Blackmagic Design Desktop Video 14.1 update introduces several significant improvements and new features across various models.

The update adds support for keying in Rec.2020, HLG, and PQ formats to the DeckLink 8K Pro, expanding its capabilities for advanced color spaces and HDR workflows.

DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder Improvements

The update addresses compatibility issues with AMD EPYC processors, fixing an intermittent hang problem. It also ensures that 44.1kHz audio input signals are correctly converted to 48 kHz, improving audio consistency.

DeckLink Quad 2 and DeckLink Duo 2 Fixes

Several fixes have been implemented for the DeckLink Quad 2 and DeckLink Duo 2 models:

  • Audio distortion during playback on HP Z2 G4 and G5 systems has been resolved.
  • Video output now remains locked to the reference input after restarting playback.
  • The 16:9 aspect ratio is correctly reported in the video payload ID.
  • An issue causing synchronized playback to fail has been fixed.
General Performance Improvements

The update also includes general performance improvements applicable to all models, ensuring better stability and efficiency in various workflows.
