Bo Brinck, DPA Microphones: There will be more and more wireless technologies

TFT1957 Interviews Bo Brincks, Global Sales Support Manager, DPA Microphones at IBC 2024

TFT1957 Interviews Bo Brinck, Global Sales Support Manager, DPA Microphones at IBC 2024.

– What new products is your company showcasing at IBC 2024?

This year we are exhibiting together with Wisycom.

We are introducing our new 2061 lavalier microphone and the new AIR1 wind protector with fur. The 2061, which we are showcasing today, features a 5mm capsule and comes in four colors with three different terminations: mini jack, LEMO, and MicroDot.

We have two versions for broadcasters and content creators in black and white, and two versions in beige and brown, more suited for theater, especially regional theaters, that can be mounted on the skin or forehead. The microphones are IP58-rated, so they are resistant to water, dust, and sweat. The black and white versions come with a windscreen mount, which can be removed if desired. It’s designed to look familiar, much like other models in the market. If the windscreen isn’t enough, you can add the fur ball wind protector, which features a reliable locking mechanism, so it won’t come loose during broadcast.

– What do you think about the future trends of the broadcast and cinema industry?

Everything is definitely moving towards wireless. Our partnership with Wisycom here at IBC makes a lot of sense for us. We expect to see many more radio microphones in the future and, of course, more digital transmission of files. I believe that will be one of the major trends moving forward.

– Thank you so much for the interview!
