Canon Europe will participate in the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) at the RAI Amsterdam from September 13-16, 2024.
The company plans to present its newest imaging technology, designed to support broadcasters and content creators in enhancing their visual storytelling capabilities.
Product Launches and Previews
Canon’s recent product launches, including the Canon EOS R1, EOS R5 Mark II, and EOS C400, will be highlighted at the convention. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore these products alongside Canon’s full range of professional cinema cameras, PTZ cameras, and extended VR offerings.
Industry Engagement and Product Zones
Jack Adair, Broadcast Sector Marketing Specialist at Canon Europe, emphasized the company’s focus on engaging with industry professionals at IBC. The Canon stand will feature multiple zones such as the Multi-Cam zone, RF System zone, Virtual Production Workflow space, and PTZ Wall, where visitors can interact with Canon products and receive guidance from Canon experts.
Focus on Visual Storytelling
Canon will highlight key areas of technological advancement, including large format cameras and lenses, designed to capture high-quality visuals with detailed depth of field. The EOS C400, Canon’s first high-end RF mount Cinema EOS camera, will be showcased for its ability to offer large-scale production features in a compact form.
PTZ Camera Range
The PTZ area will display a comprehensive selection of Canon’s PTZ products, including the CR-N100, CR-N300, CR-N500, and CR-X300, as well as controllers and features like Canon Auto Loop and Auto Tracking.
Advancements in Mirrorless Cameras
Canon will also present its EOS R System mirrorless cameras, including the EOS R1 and EOS R5 Mark II. These models feature the ‘Accelerated Capture’ imaging platform and Dual Pixel Intelligent AF, offering 12-bit RAW video recording and enhanced video production capabilities.
Virtual Production and Lens Innovations
In the Virtual Production Workflow zone, attendees can explore Canon’s Flex Zoom lens lineup and the new RF-S 3.9mm F3.5 STM DUAL FISHEYE lens, designed for 3D VR content creation. The Lens Showcase Zone will feature Canon’s latest lenses, including the CJ27ex7.3B IASE T and CN7x17 KAS T cine servo lens, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to expanding its product range for various production environments.
