Canon has unveiled the RF 35mm F1.4L VCM, a new hybrid lens designed for both still photography and video recording.
This lens is the only RF prime lens with a dedicated iris control ring for video. It also features an 11-blade aperture and minimal focus breathing, making it highly versatile for videographers.
Advanced Features and Technology
The RF 35mm F1.4L VCM supports both front and rear filters. It incorporates Nano USM technology and faster Voice Coil Motor (VCM) technology, ensuring quick and precise focusing. The lens includes a dedicated Lens Control Ring and a customizable Lens Function Button for enhanced control.
Durability and Lightweight Design
The lens has a fluorine coating to prevent dirt and sand from sticking to the front element. It is lighter than its EF predecessor, making it more comfortable for extended use. Aspheric and Ultra-Low Dispersion (UD) lens elements, along with Super Spectra and Air Sphere Coatings (ASC), ensure clear images with reduced flare and ghosting.
