The Centro Cultural Kirchner (CCK), formerly known as the Post and Telegraph Palace of Buenos Aires, is a historic building with more than 100,000 square meters of space.
This venue includes important cultural spaces such as the National Auditorium, the Sala Argentina, the Great Lamp, and the Dome. These areas combine heritage preservation with modern technology.
Shift to Local Audiovisual Infrastructure
Since 2010, CCK has operated from the historic Correo Argentino building. A significant feature of the venue is its 3500-pipe organ. Until 2022, all audiovisual engineering services for events and performances were rented. However, in 2023, a decision was made to invest in local infrastructure, which includes Sony cameras, a video switcher, and the Xpeak intercom system for communications. This setup is used for both the Symphonic Hall and the smaller Chamber Hall.
AEQ XPEAK Intercom System
To support video recording and distribution, the technical department selected the AEQ XPEAK intercom system for registry operations. The system includes desktop equipment, wireless belt packs, and wired belt packs. The wired packs are connected to the cameras, while the wireless ones are used by staff working across the different rooms.

AEQ XPEAK uses IP technology for communication, allowing hardware and software user panels to be interconnected regardless of location. The system works automatically without the need for static IPs, dynamic DNS, or port forwarding, simplifying network setup. It functions efficiently in any network environment, even those with restrictive configurations. The XPEAK system includes both physical panels and wireless devices.
Project Collaboration with VIDITEC
The integration and implementation of this audiovisual infrastructure were carried out in collaboration with Viditec, the company responsible for video recording and distribution engineering at CCK.
