Interview with Christian Scheck, Head of Marketing Content, Lawo, at ISE 2024.
Hello, my name is Chris, and I work at Lawo. We’re here at ISE 2024 in Barcelona. Yesterday, we held a highly successful press conference where we unveiled a project in collaboration with Telefónica focused on the AV usage in stadiums, notably the Real Madrid stadium. It’s an exciting time for us as we demonstrate how our technology enhances the fan experience in such iconic venues.
TKT1957: What new products is your company showcasing at ISE 2024?
Chris: We’re thrilled to showcase our new product premiering at ISE, named Crystal. Crystal is a small mixer designed for both radio and live applications, offering two distinct modes to suit various needs. The Power Core mode is tailored for the radio broadcasting side, while the Controller mode allows Crystal to function as an auxiliary console for the MC² series or as a standalone console. This flexibility makes Crystal a valuable tool for a wide range of audio production scenarios.
We’re also presenting the Gage Gateway and our Home Apps, which have been met with considerable interest, particularly from educational institutions. I talked to several Universities yesterday and they are keen on the idea of running processing software on generic servers.

TKT1957: Are there any developments in integrating AI into your solutions?
Chris: I was also asked about artificial intelligence (AI). At Lawo, we are exploring the potential of AI in enhancing our product offerings. But we haven’t implemented any artificial intelligence just yet. While our MC² series audio consoles already feature advanced automation capabilities, we recognize the potential for AI to further streamline operations in the broadcast world. However, as a company that prides itself on the quality and reliability of our products, we are taking a measured approach to the development of AI technologies. We aim to ensure that any new features are fully mature and meet our high standards before they are introduced to the market.
So, while we may not have AI-ready solutions to unveil at ISE this year, we are actively working on these innovations and look forward to sharing them with you at future events, such as NAB or IBC next year.
