Cinegy GmbH, a leading provider of software for broadcasting, has announced the release of version 24.1 of its Cinegy Air playout platform.
This update is launched together with enhancements to Cinegy Title and Cinegy Desktop, expanding the company’s offerings in captions, branding, and production suite solutions.
User-Driven Enhancements
The updates to Cinegy Air were significantly influenced by feedback from users, leading to a more intuitive and secure user interface. Notably, the platform now features the use of color stripes in the playout timeline, allowing for easier identification of different types of content. This is especially useful for managing short items like idents, enabling users to quickly overview programme junctions without needing to magnify the view.
Operational Security and Simplicity
To enhance operational security and simplicity, the new version allows for the disabling of direct controls within the Air GUI. This prevents operators from inadvertently triggering events ahead of time or skipping to later content. Access to this disable/enable feature is straightforward, being located in a top-level menu, which helps ensure that monitoring workstations do not unintentionally interfere with live outputs.
Productivity and Technical Advancements
A significant addition to productivity is the integration of the Rosstalk protocol in the secondary event menu. This facilitates easy programming of switchers and routers from Ross Video, enabling automated events to include smooth transitions and switches. Technical enhancements include the capability to choose from up to 99 Cinegy Capture engines for managing live content, with the selection process streamlined within the Air Control GUI.
