Cinegy, a leading software provider in digital video technology, has announced it will present new features for its products at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in 2024.
The company is set to unveil enhancements to its video capture, processing, asset management, and playout solutions, all developed in response to customer feedback. These updates aim to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and simplify operations for professionals in broadcasting and related sectors.
Improved Security and Usability in Cinegy Air 24.1
The latest version of Cinegy Air, version 24.1, introduces improved security features to help operators avoid unintentional disruptions during live broadcasts. An easily accessible setting allows for the enablement or disablement of specific operations to prevent accidental actions. The interface now uses color coding to help operators quickly distinguish between different types of content, enhancing security and usability without the need for zooming in. Additionally, Cinegy Air 24.1 integrates the RossTalk protocol, facilitating easier control over Ross Video switchers and routers for a smoother, more engaging final output.
Enhancements to Cinegy Capture 24.1
Cinegy’s ingest platform, Cinegy Capture 24.1, has been updated to streamline production workflows in mixed-environment settings, replacing the need for multiple ingest and transcode devices. This version boasts increased stability and broader GPU support, including AMD and Intel GPUs, which is especially beneficial for live broadcasts of major events. New features such as gang control for managing multiple recording engines, error reset functions, and support for various formats and codecs, including the Avid DNxHR codec, have been added. The addition of BlackMagic’s Decklink IP cards also extends support for ingesting SMPTE ST-2110 video feeds.
Cinegy Multiviewer 24.2: Advancements in Monitoring Technology
The latest iteration of Cinegy Multiviewer, version 24.2, brings significant improvements based on extensive industry experience and customer input. This release enhances hardware compatibility by introducing AMD GPU acceleration and announcing future support for Intel GPUs. New functionalities include an NDI source tolerance mode for monitoring a wider array of sources, an advanced remote-control API for precise workflow monitoring, and further optimizations to utilize GPU acceleration. Support for Blackmagic Decklink IP cards is also a new feature, expanding the range of supported SMPTE ST-2110 devices.
A Unified Software Solution
Jan Weigner, Managing Director of Cinegy, emphasized the company’s capability to facilitate 8k ingest, playout, and production using a single software suite on a laptop, reducing the need for multiple hardware devices. Cinegy’s solutions are designed to minimize latency and maximize hardware efficiency, distinguishing the company in a competitive market through its emphasis on power, cost-efficiency, and the use of feedback-driven engineering.
By incorporating these enhancements, Cinegy continues to refine its product offerings, focusing on security, efficiency, and user-friendliness, catering to the evolving needs of the broadcasting industry.
