Cinetreak, a Chinese manufacturer known for its live-streaming products, has launched a new compact unit called the Mixer Live.
This device integrates recording and live streaming capabilities into a single 5.5-inch monitor, making it a versatile tool for content creators.
Product Overview
The Mixer Live, a compact recorder and live streaming monitor, measures 14.8 x 9 x 2.6 cm (5.82 x 3.54 x 1.02 in) and weighs 600g (1.32 lbs). It consumes around 12W and can be powered by two Sony NP-F batteries or a 12V DC input port for external power.
Inputs and Outputs
All input and output ports are located at the top of the Mixer Live:
- Two HDMI 2.0 video input ports supporting up to DCI 4K at 60P.
- One HDMI program output with a maximum resolution of 1080P60.
- A WiFi antenna for RTMP live streaming.
- One USB-C UVC port for connecting to a computer for live streaming.
On the left side of the device, there is a 3.5mm microphone input, a 3.5mm headphone jack, two function buttons, and the power button. The right side features an SD card slot for storing video recordings, uploading logos and graphic assets, and upgrading the firmware.
Monitoring and Recording Features
The Mixer Live includes a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with a maximum brightness of 1500 nits. It offers multiple monitoring tools such as peaking, false color, vectorscope, histogram, 3D LUT support, and framing tools. The device can be mounted on a camera using the two 1/4″-20 mounting points at the top and bottom. It records footage to an SD card in H.264 format at Full-HD 1080P. Playback of recorded videos is also possible on the unit.
Live Streaming Capabilities
The Mixer Live supports live streaming to major social media platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Zoom. Users can stream in horizontal or vertical mode via a dedicated menu button. The built-in RTMP encoder allows wireless network connections. Additionally, the unit can control PTZ cameras using the Visca protocol, enabling control over zoom, focus, and position of compatible cameras.
Additional Features
The device includes several live-streaming features, such as the ability to add subtitles and logos/graphics to the program output. It has a built-in Chroma Keyer, supports cropping video sources, combining two video inputs in Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-out-Picture (PoP) modes, and adding transitions between sources.
