Cobalt Digital Reveals IBC 2023 Offerings

Cobalt Digital is set to showcase its latest innovations at IBC 2023, including the UltraBlue IP-MV IP multiviewers, WAVE RTR 64×64 router optimized for 12G SDI, the Pacific ULL Decoder, and a 20-slot frame compatible with openGear.

The company, known for its cutting-edge video production devices and a key player in the openGear initiative, will also feature its new Sapphire series of ST 2110 converters.

Key highlights:
  • UltraBlue IP-MV Multiviewers: An expansion of Cobalt’s multiviewer line, the UltraBlue IP-MV series is adaptable to customer growth. Offered as both software and cloud instances, it supports various protocols like UDP, RTP, RTSP, and SRT. Features include flexible audio routing, PIP sizing, graphical and text overlays, and tally support.
  • WAVE RTR-64×64 Router: A high-density router with a 64×64 crosspoint supporting up to 12G-SDI. It features an Ethernet port for IP-based controls and a new control panel series, including the WAVE CP-84L with 84 back-lit LCD buttons.
  • PACIFIC Ultra Low-Latency Decoder: The PACIFIC ULL-DEC openGear card decodes H.262, H.264, and H.265 with under 10ms latency. It can decode one 4K stream or two 3G streams, supporting various audio CODECs and network protocols.
  • HPF-MAX Frame: A 20-slot frame compatible with all openGear cards, boasting 700W power, a Gigabit Ethernet backplane, and smart power supplies.
  • Sapphire Converter Series: Cobalt will display units from its Sapphire series, including:

Sapphire 8JXS-8S: A ST 2110 JPEG-XS to SDI gateway with dual 25Gb/s Ethernet ports.

Sapphire BBG-2110-H/S & Sapphire BBG-2110-2H: Mini converters for ST 2110 JPEG-XS to HDMI conversion, designed for monitor mounting.

Sapphire BIDI-2H2S: A dual-channel bidirectional HDMI to SDI/SDI to HDMI converter with independent configuration options.
