COBALT INDIGO 2110-DC-01: Seamless IP/SDI Integration

The COBALT INDIGO 2110-DC-01 is an optional factory add-on for openGear cards, providing native SMPTE 2110 support with 25G Ethernet interfaces and a full ST 2110 stack, including NMOS IS 04/05. This integration offers a cost-effective and easily manageable solution with IP inputs and outputs, eliminating the need for multiple devices and external gateways. When paired with a host card, it can process HD, 3G, and 4K IP streams without compromising quality. The interface is now available for Cobalt’s 9905-MPx and 9904-UDX-4K openGear processing cards.

COBALT INDIGO OG-2110-BIDI4-GATEWAY: Independent Processing Paths

The COBALT INDIGO OG-2110-BIDI4-GATEWAY is a bi-directional quad-channel ST 2110 interface for SDI I/O in the openGear form factor. It supports simultaneous transmit and receive paths, ST 2022-7 seamless redundancy switching, and IS 04/05 NMOS for automatic discovery and configuration.

COBALT PACIFIC 9992-ENC-INDIGO: Software Definable Encoding

Cobalt Digital introduces the COBALT PACIFIC 9992-ENC-INDIGO, its latest software-definable encoding platform, at IBC 2024. This openGear card includes the INDIGO 2110-DC-02 option for SMPTE ST 2110 input, supporting up to 4 inputs at 3G resolution or one input at 4K resolution, with full NMOS support. This integration allows for local encoding, low-latency transport over the Internet using RIST, and traditional ASI workflows, without the need for separate gateway devices.

COBALT PACIFIC ULL-DEC: Ultra Low Latency Decoder

The COBALT PACIFIC ULL-DEC is a software-definable broadcast decoder that supports MPEG-2 and AVC (H.264) with 4K support, as well as comprehensive audio decoding capabilities. This openGear card is designed to meet modern broadcasters’ requirements and provides a seamless transition to advanced decoding capabilities.

COBALT SAPPHIRE ST 2110 Mini Converters

Cobalt Digital is also presenting its SAPPHIRE converter family, known for high-quality design, functionality, and reliability in a compact form. These converters, part of the Blue Box Group (BBG) series, include models with single or dual 25Gb/s ports for ST 2022-7 redundancy and full NMOS support. The series features the COBALT SAPPHIRE BBG-2110-H/S, BBG-2110-2H, and BBG 2110 4-H/S models, each offering various configurations for HDMI and SDI outputs.
