Retouch4me, a company specializing in AI-based photo editing, has recently introduced a new software called Color Match OFX.
This software is designed for video professionals and uses artificial intelligence to apply color schemes from a reference image or a built-in library to videos.
Software Functionality and Features
Color Match OFX analyzes the color schemes of both the source and reference images and adjusts the video to match the chosen colors. It also provides access to a large selection of free Look-Up Tables (LUTs) through LUT Cloud. Users can export these LUTs for use in both photos and videos.
Benefits of Using AI Technology
The plugin, powered by a neural network, works offline to ensure user privacy. It simplifies the color correction process, making it more efficient and less time-consuming compared to manual methods.
Background and Target Audience
The software is an extension of Retouch4me’s existing Color Match plugin, which has been well-received for photo color correction. With Color Match OFX, Retouch4me aims to offer similar functionality but focused on video editing.
Specific Features of Color Match OFX
The software allows any image to be used as a reference for color matching. Users can adjust the impact on brightness and color components. The plugin is designed to prevent overly detailed color corrections that can cause visual artifacts. It also includes access to an extensive library of LUTs for enhanced color correction.
Software Compatibility
Color Match OFX is compatible with Windows (7, 10, 11 or newer) and MacOS (2015 or newer, OSX 10.15 or newer). It works with BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve, Sony Vegas, and other software that supports OFX plugins, like Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 18 or newer.
Installation and Application Instructions
After installation, the plugin appears in the FX tab in DaVinci Resolve. Users can add it to a video clip by dragging it onto a node. To choose a reference image, users need to navigate through their computer’s desktop finder window, as the plugin does not currently support selecting a reference image directly from DaVinci Resolve.
