CP Communications, a provider of high-quality live event production solutions, has been working closely with Pliant Technologies to enhance intercom systems for various events. Their collaboration has covered major events such as the NYC Marathon, the Super Bowl, the NBA Finals, and the Westminster Dog Show.

Brian Ready, a systems engineer at CP Communications, highlighted the versatility of Pliant’s CrewCom system. “CrewCom offers scalability, from simple intercom solutions to large-scale deployments. It’s user-friendly, with a direct one-to-one relationship between the talk and listen buttons, eliminating the need for complex menu navigation,” he said.

A significant advantage of the CrewCom system is its ability to operate in different frequency ranges, accommodating the varying requirements of different venues. For instance, the New York City Marathon saw the deployment of the CrewCom system for efficient communication between technicians at the start and finish lines.

The collaboration between CP Communications and Pliant Technologies has also extended to other major events. At the recent NBA Finals, a range of Pliant’s products were utilized, ensuring smooth communication throughout the event. Similarly, for the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium, the two companies worked together to provide a seamless communication experience, even with multiple systems operating simultaneously.

CP Communications has also leveraged the CrewCom system for MLB events, including the All-Star game and the MLB Draft. The system’s adaptability was further demonstrated at the 2023 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Ready also emphasized the benefits of CrewCom’s offline configuration capability through its CrewWare software.
