Blackmagic Design has unveiled the DaVinci Resolve Replay Editor, a new hardware control panel priced at $495 USD, set for release in May.
The panel integrates functionalities for both replay and multicam editing. Featuring high-quality keys similar to those used in gaming keyboards, the Replay Editor ensures reliability and comfort. The layout allows operators to use the panel efficiently by locating buttons through touch and includes a large search dial to enhance speed and precision in trimming. It supports connections via USB or Bluetooth and is equipped with a long-lasting internal battery.
Integration with Blackmagic Replay
The accompanying software, Blackmagic Replay, is currently available in the public beta of DaVinci Resolve 19. This innovative system is designed for creating live action replays specifically for broadcasting environments. It operates by using multiple HyperDecks for recording onto shared storage, while DaVinci Resolve serves as a robust playback engine linked to the same storage. This setup not only facilitates replay but also extends into a full-featured editing suite capable of multi-user collaboration, color correction, visual effects, and audio post-production. The integrated system allows for seamless transformation of replays into promotional materials, title sequences, and instant updates for social media.
