The release of the Deity DLTX UHF Transmitter and DXTX Plug-In Transmitter has been put on hold.

It is unclear whether this delay is temporary or permanent. The decision appears to be linked to potential issues with a Zaxcom patent, although the transmitters do not record while transmitting.

Sales Restrictions

Deity has announced that these products will not be available for sale in the USA, Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean. Sales in other countries will continue, but production delays are expected, which may affect availability.

Design Concerns

This situation could significantly impact the US version of these products if Deity is required to alter the design to avoid potential litigation. It seems that preventing the transmitters from recording and transmitting simultaneously for the US market has not fully resolved the issue.

THEOS System Unaffected

Interestingly, the Deity THEOS System is not affected by these delays, possibly due to its use of a 3.5mm input rather than the more professional LEMO connector on the DLTX and the XLR connector on the DXTX.

DLTX Similar to THEOS DBTX

The Deity DLTX model is essentially the same as the THEOS DBTX, with the primary difference being the use of a LEMO connector instead of the 3.5mm microphone input.
