Dejero is set to introduce new advancements to the broadcast and media industry at IBC 2024, featuring the latest version of its patented Smart Blending Technology.
Dejero’s Smart Blending Technology, integrated into the EnGo 3x 5G mobile video transmitter with GateWay mode and the new GateWay 3220 network aggregation device, combines multiple wired (broadband, fiber) and wireless (3G/4G/5G & satellite) IP connections from various providers to create a virtual Dejero ‘network of networks’. The improved algorithm provides a more stable connection across all latency settings, allowing high-quality live video transmission with glass-to-glass latency as low as 0.5 seconds over bonded cellular.
EnGo 3x: Native 5G Mobile Video Transmitter
The EnGo 3x 5G mobile video transmitter with multicam and GateWay mode offers dual functionality, extending beyond live video streaming to include network aggregation technology. This provides news and production teams with stable, reliable internet access from any location. With GateWay Mode, remote crews can broadcast breaking news, transfer files, and set up high-bandwidth access points for multiple devices, supporting data-intensive applications like newsroom systems or editing tools. It also supports VPN tunneling for secure network access, addressing data protection concerns.
GateWay 3220: Network Aggregation Device
The GateWay 3220 network aggregation device, powered by Dell Technologies, debuts at IBC 2024. It features Dejero Smart Blending Technology for unmatched reliability in mobile connectivity. The ruggedized, fanless chassis is designed for installation in vehicles and portable kits, providing resilient connectivity to the Internet, cloud applications, and private networks. Its compact form factor ensures connectivity even in challenging environments where cellular coverage is limited.
Virtual WayPoint Receiver
Dejero’s new Linux-based virtual WayPoint receiver, showcased at IBC, supports RTMP and RTMPS formats, with future support for NDI and SRT. The NDI output will facilitate multiple video/audio streams on a shared connection, enhancing workflows that rely on network-based distribution methods. NDI enables high-quality, low-latency video over IP networks, streamlining video production and live streaming without the need for dedicated video cables and infrastructure.
By offering these innovations, Dejero aims to provide the broadcast and media industry with tools that ensure reliable, high-quality connectivity and video transmission in various challenging environments.
